ED Coordinator

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center has an immediate opening for an ED Coordinator. This role will function as an integral part of the Emergency Department Team and will work under the license of the Medical Director. This position will be supervised by the ED Nurse on duty. Candidates must hold an EMT-B, EMT-B-IV, EMT-I or Paramedic certification.

The responsibilities of the ED Coordinator will include but will not be limited to:
Greeting and assisting patients/families/visitors as they arrive.
Receiving direction from physicians and nurses to provide optimized patient care.
Obtaining and documenting patient vital signs, monitoring systems, updating patient records, and reporting findings as appropriate to supervisors or other staff.
Performing resuscitation/CPR and emergency airway procedures as needed.
Transporting patients to other departments as needed.
Changing linens and cleaning surrounding areas as required.
Registering, scheduling, stocking and ordering supplies as needed.
Performing clinical and other administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Candidates must maintain current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
High school diploma or GED required.
Candidates must hold an EMT-B, EMT-B-IV, EMT-I or Paramedic certification.
Must have at least 6 months of experience performing administrative duties in patient care areas.
Must have basic knowledge of health, hygiene, sanitation, infection control, safety, and sterilization. techniques relevant to providing exceptional patient care in an ER setting.
Previous experience with healthcare related software and computer equipment required.
Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate.
Must be able to wear PPE as needed.
Ability to type at least 60 words per minute preferred.
Must be a good verbal communicator.
Must be able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Physical Requirements:
This position will require long periods of standing and walking. The ability to see and hear is required. Candidates who apply must be able to push, pull, reach, kneel, climb and bend. The ability to regularly life up to 100 lbs. is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.

This is an hourly/non-exempt, full-time, benefit eligible position.
Rate of pay contingent upon experience and geographic location.
Holidays will be required. We are seeking to fill day and night schedules.

Nurse Practitioner-Family Clinic

The Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center's SP Family Clinic has need for a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner. Successful applicants must meet the following education requirements: be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Colorado license; have successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner Program; hold an ANP Certification; hold Basic Life Support & ACLS Certifications; have prescription authority. The NP will be required to provide and maintain 10/year or a total of 20 for a 2 year reappointment period of Continuing Education.

This position must possess at least 3 years of experience in a clinical setting. Previous hospital/acute care experience is preferred. Previous nursing home experience also preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to function effectively in a customer oriented and fluid medical environment. Must have experience working with electronic medical records.

Candidates must have knowledge of:
State laws and regulations on nursing and nurse practitioner scope of work; responsibilities, professional principles, procedures and techniques of nurse practitioner, as applicable within specific licensure.
Symptoms and normal course of acute and chronic illnesses, and their treatment.
Growth and development and common illnesses of infants and children.
Standard medical record keeping and HIPAA requirements.
Procedures, techniques and test for conducting comprehensive physical examinations.
Techniques and interpretations of standard laboratory test, x-rays and basic diagnostic procedures.
Substances abuse symptoms, mental and emotional illness symptoms and intervention techniques.
Medications commonly used for a wide variety of medical conditions and their effects, reactions and contraindications; proper handling and administration of medications.

Marketing & Admission Coordinator

Position Overview:
Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center (SPRHC) has an immediate opening for a Marketing & Admission Coordinator. This role will have a dedicated focus on building referral source relationships in a variety of settings. These settings include: hospitals, clinics, and senior-service organizations in the immediate and surrounding areas. The Marketing & Admissions Coordinator will also work collaboratively across various departments to drive and increase SPRHC visibility.

The ideal candidate will:
