To Improve The Lives We Touch

Nursing Home, Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center

Veterans Community Living Center

A Home for Heroes

A comfortable, clean, caring facility where residents become family. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items to make their room their home Living rooms with satellite TV allow for socialization and neighborhood events. When the weather is nice, multiple garden and open spaces allow residents to enjoy the Colorado sun and get some fresh air, with multiple shady spaces available. For those who prefer to stay indoors, floor to ceiling windows in the dining area provide beautiful views of Lathrop State Park, Greenhorn Mountain, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range.

Care and Convenience

Physically connected to Spanish Peaks Hospital, with its highly rated Emergency Room and a helipad, the facility offers residents immediate access to skilled and critical care without having to leave the building. Located adjacent to the hospital is Spanish Peaks Family Clinic, which houses our primary care physicians. Also found on our campus is the Spanish Peaks Specialty Clinic, a dialysis center, a surgical clinic, and much more.

Residents have access to nursing staff 24/7, with dedicated bathing and hydration aides to ensure CNAs are always available to care for their needs. Flexibility is always an option, allowing residents to choose their own schedules. Person-centered care is our goal.

You don't live in our home, we work in yours. We look forward to serving you.

Village Theme Mall

Our "Italian Village" theme mall is a central gathering place adjacent to our Mountain View Dining Hall. Here you'll find a newly remodeled barber shop, as well as a multi-use space and our Social Services Department. The facade and large picture windows of this open area bring a little of the outdoors inside.

Activity Department

We believe every elder should have the opportunity to pursue interests and activities of his/her choosing. We serve all elders individually, striving to create programs pursuant to their physical and mental abilities. We do whatever is necessary to provide programs that offer purpose and fulfillment to each and every elder

At Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center, we understand the value of volunteering. Because of the benefit to our residents, SPVCLC encourages, supports, and celebrates the involvement of volunteers. We encourage volunteers of all age groups to come into the home. We have individuals who help to tend to the Home's gardens and will spend time with residents in helping them to plant the things the residents want to plant. We are very proud of our Children Volunteers that have really become a special part of our home. It is seldom that we do not have some young person helping us with many different activities such as the Never 2 Late, hand massages, manicures, bingo, arts and crafts, popcorn and a movie, games, and dancing with residents at our Friday Bash. We even have WII games. Sometimes our residents just enjoy watching our young volunteers hanging out and having fun. Canine volunteers are also a joy to our residents and are welcome with proper vet records.
