Dr. James "Andy" Conrad

Dr. Conrad received his bachelor's degree in biology from Colorado College located in Colorado Springs. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine located in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed two residencies in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina Department of Surgery located in Charleston, where he also served as both Categorical Resident and Chief Resident.
Dr. Conrad is board certified in general surgery.

Dr. Conrad practiced in Pueblo, Colorado, where he served as Medical Director in the Trauma Services Department at Parkview Medical Center. In the past, he also served as a General Surgeon for both Sangre De Cristo Surgical Associates as well as Surgical Consultants of Pueblo. He currently practices at Mt. San Rafael Hospital Professional Complex Surgical Clinic in Trinidad.

Dr. Christopher Dipersio

Dr. Dipersio has been serving Walsenburg and the surrounding communities since 2003 when he first opened his office in downtown Walsenburg on East 5th Street. Dr. Dipersio did his residency in Denver at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center and is a specialist in medicine and surgery of the foot. Dr. Dipersio specializes in all foot related disease including diabetic foot evaluation and management, wound care, foot pain, toenail care, ingrown nails, bunions, hammer toes, Morton's neuromas and more.

Dr. Donald J Dutton

Dr. Donald J Dutton

Dr. Donald J Dutton a Colorado native who grew up in La Junta and obtained his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He worked many other jobs prior to becoming a physician including construction, teaching high school math, machining, and eventually clinical lab science which led him to medicine.

Dr. Dutton worked at Spanish Peaks Hospital as a lab technologist for many years prior to medical school. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Aurora, CO. His time spent in Walsenburg not only exposed him to rural family medicine but ultimately drew him back to this community to practice.

He obtained his board certification in Family Medicine at the Saint Joseph Hospital Family Medicine program in downtown Denver Colorado. He spends most of his free time with his wife and daughter, riding motorcycles on the street and in the dirt, and working on his home.

Dr. David Feuer

Dr. David Feuer

Dr. David Feuer is a vascular surgeon and endovascular interventionalist with more than fifteen years of experience. He attended medical school at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, prior to completing both his residency and fellowship training at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

His family legacy seems to be excelling in prestigious occupations, his father and grandfather both worked for the United States Navy. Dr. Feuer has pursued research, teaching, and administrative roles throughout his career in addition to his medical practice. He's now passing along those values of hard work to his four children, three of which are triplets.

Dr. L. Ginger Frederiksen

Dr. Frederiksen most recently worked in Pueblo, where she served as a gynecologist for Parkview Medical Group's Associates in Women's Health Care. She previously cared for patients in past years at Banner Medical Group's Sterling Women's Care located in Sterling, Colorado, Banner Medical Group located in Loveland, Colorado, and Associates in Women's Care located in Colorado Springs.

Dr. Frederiksen is a United States Air Force veteran who served as a gynecologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, National Naval Medical Center, the United States Air Force Academy, and Evans Army Community Hospital. She received her bachelor's degree in microbiology from Colorado State University Fort Collins and her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine located in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Frederiksen completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah located in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Frederiksen is board certified in gynecology. Dr. Frederiksen will be available for surgical procedures on Wednesday mornings and will provide care at the Specialty Clinic on Wednesday afternoons. Dr. Michael Glass

Dr. Michael Glass is a board-certified Urologist. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Thereafter, he completed residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Glass was in private practice for many years in Parker, Colorado. As well as Urology Consultants in Pueblo.

Dr. Glass is a compassionate and caring Urologist. He cares for patients ages 17 and up. He prioritizes educating his patients on their conditions, both conservative treatment and ultimately, the surgical options when deemed necessary.

In addition to his years of experience treating general urology conditions, Dr. Glass has long-term experience in Robotic Prostatectomy and was a trainer for Robotic Sacro colpopexy for vaginal prolapse.

Dr. George Gustafson

Dr. George Gustafson

Dr. George Gustafson, Cardiologist earned his degree from Chicago Medical School, Rosalinda Franklyn University of Health and Science, Doctorate in Medicine. His completed his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Internal Medicine. He attended his fellowship and earned certification at the University of Chicago Hospital, Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Gustafson is affiliated with UC Health Medical Group in Colorado Springs. He enjoys White Water Rafting and Skiing as a hobby.

Specializations
James Lee, M.D., practices comprehensive ophthalmology. He specializes in customized cataract surgery, LASIK, KAMRA Inlay, keratoconus, cornea, and external diseases of the eye. He also performs the most advanced types of corneal transplants including DSEK, DMEK, and laser assisted procedures.

Education
Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University and a Medical Doctorate at University of Illinois. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Loyola University in Chicago followed by an ophthalmology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Lee completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the University of Arizona.

Experience
Dr. Lee has published on topics including LASIK and infections of the eye. While in college he was published in a major scientific journal as a primary author for his work in molecular biology. Dr. Lee held an associate professor position while at University of Arizona. He is currently involved in studies for treating keratoconus as well as perfecting new techniques for performing corneal transplants.

Personal Facts
Dr. Lee has taught surgeons in Mexico on small incision cataract surgery and is working on plans to help provide eye care to third world countries. Dr. Lee desires for a second career as a food critic and keeps a diary of culinary experiences when traveling.

Dr. Lori Moll

Dr. Lori graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in biology. She completed medical school at UNM in 1984, and completed her family medicine residency in 1995. She is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. She has been with Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center since 1996 when she and her husband, Dr. Michael Moll started their Primary Care Clinic. They have now been providing healthcare for this community for 25 years. Dr. Lori has focused on rural primary care medicine with a full range of practice. She has been an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of Family Medicine for the University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine.

She especially enjoys her long-term relationships with her patients, some of which she has seen for more than 20 years.

Dr. Lori has been married to Dr. Michael Moll for 38 years and they have three children, one of which has followed their love for medicine. Their daughter is also a family medicine physician. Dr. Lori enjoys outdoor activities to include biking, snowshoeing, skiing, and walking their dogs.

She is now focusing on Women's Healthcare providing annual exams, pap smears and family planning services.

Dr. Michael Moll

Dr. Moll is originally from Albuquerque, NM where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology "with distinction" at the University of New Mexico (UNM). He then, along with his wife, Dr. Lori, attended the UNM School of Medicine where they both received their MD degrees in 1989. Dr. Mike Moll was also inducted into the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. After obtaining his MD degree, Dr. Mike trained in Family Medicine at the UNM Family Medicine Department and was Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1995. Dr. Mike and Lori Moll came to Walsenburg in 1996 and began the Family Medicine Clinic. In addition to maintaining the clinic they also provided coverage for the Emergency Room, hospital and attended to patients at the Colorado State Veteran's Nursing Home. Both Dr. Mike and Dr. Lori have been serving the residents of Huerfano County for over 20 years.

In addition to being Board Certified in Family Medicine, he was awarded a Fellowship of the American Academy of Family Medicine. He is an experienced Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine for the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine and has been awarded the "Walking Stick Award" by the Family Medicine Department for exceptional teaching of medical students. Dr. Mike was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Colorado State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Mike has worked side by side with his wife Dr. Lori Moll for over 20 years. They have 3 children: Sarah, Emily, and Max. He enjoys playing golf, skiing and fishing and says that while he loved New Mexico, he feels much at home in Colorado and expresses his gratitude to the citizens of Huerfano County for allowing him the privilege of being their doctor.

Dr. Christopher Stark

Dr. Christopher Jon Stark, Board Certified Internal Medicine Provider, joined the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center team in October of 2022. Dr. Stark graduated from St. Mary's School of Medicine (Cook Islands) with honors and has more than 19 years of experience. He was previously a hospitalist in Pueblo, Colorado.






Dr. Sandeep Vijan

Dr Vijan is a Board-Certified General Surgeon for Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center in Walsenburg, Colorado. Originally from India, Dr Vijan completed medical school at Mahatma Gandhi's Mission Medical College in Mumbai, followed by a General Surgery residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr Vijan's interest in Robotic Surgery has afforded him the opportunity to educate surgeons nationwide and he has authored 3 textbook chapters in Colorectal Surgery - Atlas of Robotic Surgery (2021), Minimally invasive Robotic Surgery (2019) & Atlas of Robotic General Surgery (2019).

Dr Vijan is a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association of Physician Leaders. He has found his passion in improving quality, safety in healthcare and believes strongly in physician leadership to achieve those goals. As a practicing surgeon and a healthcare executive - he finds himself at the crossroads of clinical quality improvement, evidenced-based medicine and promoting healthcare delivery. He is focused on identifying the gaps in patient care and aligning healthcare providers with hospital administrators to promote safe, effective, and efficient care. In his little spare time, he enjoys travel, cooking, mulligan-style golf, and electronic music.

Jocelyn McDaniel, Physician Assistant

Jocelyn was raised outside Farmington, NM and obtained a bachelor's degree in English from Southern Utah University. Their first job in healthcare was in the ER of the hospital where they were born. After working part time, Jocelyn was accepted into and completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington.

Jocelyn is a fan of books, dogs, and enjoys spending time outside in wide open spaces. Special healthcare interests include LGBTQ+, anxiety management, and thriving with chronic disease. Jocelyn is accepting patients at the Family Clinic, four days a week and will also be rotating through the walk-in late clinics.

Norma Mower, Physician Assistant

Norma Mower is housed in the Family Clinic in Walsenburg and are currently seeing new patients as well as many of our long-standing patients.

Norma originally came to LaVeta in 1976, from Michigan. She obtained her Registered Nurse License in 1991 and worked as Emergency Room Trauma Coordinator for 12 years at SPRHC. Norma then pursued becoming a Physician Assistant-C at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks ND and has worked as a PA-C since 2003.

In addition to her skills as a health care provider, she specializes in Bio Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (a method of treatment when people's hormones drop or become unbalanced to ease symptoms). Norma can also provide evaluation and treatment of Opioid Use Disorder patients - Suboxone Treatment.

Marilyn Doster, Nurse Practitioner

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is pleased to introduce Marilyn Doster, MSN, RN, PCCN, FNP-BC, FNP-C, ACNPC-AG.

Marilyn's experience includes adult-gerontology acute care and family practice. Her clinical experience prior to her arrival was in the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit at SCL- St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Other clinical experience facilities include Good Samaritan Hospital in La Fayette and National Jewish Pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis Endocrinology in Colorado. The majority of Marilyn's clinical experience has been in Family and Internal Medicine in Northern Colorado. Marilyn is no stranger to Spanish Peaks, as she completed her clinical rotation in Emergency Medicine at our facility as a student.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Colorado Christian University and her master's in nursing AGACNP & FNP from Colorado State University-Pueblo. Her professional affiliations include Sigma Theta Tau International: Iota Pi Chapter, Philippines Nurse Association of Colorado, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Regina Griego, Nurse Practitioner

Regina obtained a master's degree in nursing with a dual specialty as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), in December of 2009. She earned her BSN and MSN from Colorado State University-Pueblo. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She has spent 14 years practicing as an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP) in a rural family practice clinic, family planning, women's healthcare, and county correctional care. Other nursing experience includes Medical/Surgical, Emergency Room, Cardiac, and Surgery. She worked her way up the career ladder starting as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center (previously Huerfano County Hospital). Regina has also worked in Acute Rehabilitation, Home Healthcare, Mental Health Services at CMHIP, and Long-Term Care.

As a Primary Care Provider, she has worked extensively in underserved communities and rural health. She prides herself on her strong interpersonal skills, is highly efficient, a team player, loyal, as well as a reliable worker with a strong commitment to patient care. Regina has enjoyed precepting Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Students. She was also the 2016 recipient of the Colorado State Nightingale Award in Leadership.

Erin Helbing, Nurse Practitioner

Erin Helbing, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, is caring for patients at all Spanish Peaks Clinics, Acute Care Hospital, and the Veterans Community Living Center.

Erin previously served as a Hospitalist, Nurse Practitioner in Georgia, where she established a history of outstanding patient care.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Georgia, followed by her Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner from Albany State University. She has excelled throughout her education and career, with extensive experience as an RN in Emergency and ICU settings.




Susan Walker, Nurse Practitioner

Susan is a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner; Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University in 2004. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner Susan had been a nurse for 28 years primarily caring for adults with cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.

Susan provides care in both our Walsenburg and our La Veta clinic. Her areas of interest include Women's Health and Lifestyle Management of chronic diseases.

Susan and her husband have been married for 38 years. She has one son, two step-daughters, and 3 grandchildren. On her down time Susan enjoys hiking, singing, spending time with family, and travel. Susan grew up on a farm in western Nebraska and moved to Colorado after college. She and her husband raised their family in metro Denver area, and moved to Spanish Peaks region in 2015.
